Ransom’s Ramble – Feb

The cricket bug is starting to bite again after a few weeks of winter nets so thought I would write a quick update on what’s happening in the world of Park Hill.

At the beginning of January we put an advert out on Facebook to attract new players which has been a great success. We’ve already had some new players come and try their arm at nets. Hopefully we haven’t been too terrible and look forward to them joining the team.

Thank you to everyone who liked the Park Hill Facebook page or contacted us to get more information about the club. The playing squad is already looking healthier especially on Sundays.

We are still looking for experienced players who are looking to play league cricket on a Saturday. Our ethos is to always enjoy cricket and have fun regardless of what day we play on but if you want a bit of a competitive edge to a game then please get in touch.

Nets have been as successful as ever with old and new faces trying to make up for the Christmas excess. Everyone is already improving week on week which is a great sign for the upcoming season.

Finally Symo has once again made a massive effort to get tour organised. Last time I spoke to him the update was we now have the fixtures in place. I’m sure he will be in touch in the near future to get you to come along. If you’re interested in going  drop Symo a message or use the contact us page here on the website.

We also had the exciting news of our new Sunday co-captains. You can read about that here https://parkhillcricket.com/2017/01/25/new-sunday-co-captains-epsom-ewell-cricket/

That’s it for now. Just wanted to give an update for those who haven’t had a chance to make it to nets yet. We are always looking for new material for the website so if you have anything you would like to talk about (preferably about cricket) please let me know.
