Park Hill Cricket Club – Safeguarding Policy Statement
At Park Hill Cricket Club, we are committed to ensuring a safe, friendly, and inclusive environment for everyone involved in cricket—players, coaches, staff, volunteers, parents, and spectators. Safeguarding is a collective responsibility, and we strive to uphold the highest standards to protect all participants, especially children.
Our Key Safeguarding Principles
- Right People in Place: We have a dedicated Club Safeguarding Officer trained under the ECB’s Safe Hands program to oversee safeguarding matters, offer advice, and act as the main point of contact for concerns.
- Creating a Positive Culture: We ensure all participants, regardless of background, can enjoy cricket in a safe and respectful atmosphere. Training and recruitment follow ECB guidelines to maintain high standards.
- Clear Reporting Processes: Concerns are taken seriously and handled with confidentiality. We follow the 3R’s approach—Respond, Record, and Report—to manage safeguarding concerns efficiently.
- Adhering to ECB Safe Hands Policy: Our club fully adopts and integrates ECB’s safeguarding policies and procedures into our operations.
